Challenges are what make life interesting and overcoming them is what makes life meaningful. –Joshua J. Marine Most people see me as an athlete, and that is also how I see myself. What most people do not know is that I have encountered many obstacles that may have prevented me from this dream. When I was 26, I was in a bicycle accident which left me with a broken neck. I lived with at times debilitating chronic neck and back pain for three years until I found my osteopath, whom I credit for giving me my life back. I also have had other, less catastrophic problems, namely osteoarthritis in both my knees and asthma. With every issue, I left no stone unturned in the search for a remedy. And I know that luck must have played a role as well.
That is me: a broken body turned long-distance, sub-elite competitive runner!
